Sudip Pandey wants to merge Congress and BJP.

This is an election time. Every party is out to show that they are t he real patriot. All regional parties have only one the English like agenda ‘Divide and Rule’. Bhojpuri’s super hit star Sudip Pandey who has given hits like ‘Bhojpuriya Bhaiya’, ‘Bhojpuriya Daroga’ and ‘Mashiha Babu’ is very much concerned with political happenings in the pre election time. He has very unconventional advice for major parties Congress and BJP. Sudip Pandey Says he, “Congress and BJP must form an alliance. It will not only give a stable governance but it’ll be deterrent for small parties who seem to black mail or use the government for their support.”

He goes on…. “Recession has taken its toll on everyone. People are losing jobs. Salaries are coming down. But what with these politician? They seem immune to this. On the contrary every party misusing its resources by having more ministers and provides more and more facilities. I am of the opinion that their all perks and salary increment must be withdrawn. It will ease pressure on government’s exchequer.”

Sudip Pandey’s idea may look very unconventional….like two shores of a river coming together… but it has a point. It these major parties rise above party politics, then only India’s future will be more secure and better.

Have no time for politics, says ‘Nirahua’

Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ is the only star of Bhojpuri Cinema to establish his credentials as a successful actor and who has consistently given superhit films. Nearly all of his films run for silvr jubilee and some are going strong for Golden Jubilees too. Success and Nirahua have become synonims in Bhojpuri film industry. Many media houses have adjudged him the Hero No. 1 of Bhojpuri Cinema in 2008. His busy schedule has no openings for any new film for two years. This is the reason he is unable to think beyond cinema. At the sets of Chalani Ke Chalal Dulha, I got the opportunity to have a talk with him. He is giving a guest appearance in the film along with Pakkhi Hegde. Here are some excerpts of the interview:

Many film stalwarts are running for elections in the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections. Do you too have some plans to contest?

Though everyone claims to do wonders for Bhojpuri Cinema, but dont give enough time to it. I think it neccessary to give your time for the growth of Bhojpuri Cinema. You have to work for and in good films. Though I am getting calls for contesting the elections but am not in a position to accept them. I am fully booked for coming two years and one should not try to ride on two boats if one has to reach somewhere. Giving attention to the job at hand is the only recipe for success.

You were on Number 1 last year, how the current year is going for you ?

Pratigya has been released this year and has proved to be a superhit. Viewers and critics both have praised the film. Director and Producer are happy with my performance. I have worked with popular Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, who is like younger brother to me, for the first time in this film. It was a pleasant experience for both of us. I hope this film to run beyond Silver Jubilee.

What about Ho Gainee Diwana Tohre Pyar Mein, the film by Producer Alok Kumar ?

I am playing the role of a young man who is a victim of his circumstances. This is the story of his struggles. A;; my films with Alok Kumar have proved to be superhits and this too will be the same. This films have some terrific stunts. One of these has been talked about in the media recently. Another stunt was filmed at Mahabaleshwar. Monalisa, the lead adtress of the film was hanging holding a car hundreds feet above a deep trench and I was to save her. With the blessings of God and able leadership of our fight master R.P.Singh the scene was filmed successfully. I was astonished with the courage of Monalisa. Suffice it to say that not many actors of Bhojpuri Cinema have done such a dangerous shot,as Monalisa did.

Your new film Diwaana with the tam of last years successful film Lagal Raha Ae Rajaji is undergoing shooting. Tell something about that too.

Yaa, Diwana is being shot now days. This is the story of a simple innocent young boy who believes that one day his Raadha will come in his life. He becomes so mad in love that his family start worrying for his mental condition. They fear that he may do something terrible. At the end this Kishan gets his Raadha but after many ups and downs. Santosh Mishra has written the story beautifully and so has Rajkumar Pandey directed the film. I have to lead actresses, Pakhi and Rani Chaterjee in the film.

And what about this Chalani Ke Chaalal Dulha ?

My younger brother Pravesh Lal Yadav is debuting with this film. Subhi Sharma is the lead actress in this film produced by my home production and under the direction of Ajay Sinha. Me and Pakhi Hegde have guest appearances in this film. I have many expectations from this film and wish my younger brother Junior Nirahua too becomes successful like me.

What are your further plans ?

My home production Nirahua Entertainment is producing Prem Ka Rog Bhayeel with Senhur Entertainment and this is our second film. We have already finalised three scripts. One is Nirahua Taangewaala of Ravi Bhushan, other is Ghunghat Me Ghotala of Manoj Hansraj and the third one is Kab Hoi Madhur Milanawa of Manoj Tiger. The shooting of Prem Ka Rog Bhayeel is going to start from 24th Feb.

We have just completed a music album, Baanke Dhobia, of Dhobi Songs. I love Dhobi Songs and till now four albums have been released and all of these have proved to be successfully popular. Another Album, Nirahua Ke Rang Heroines Ke Sang, is also ready. Both these albums will hit the market during Holi.

Parivaar of Abhay Sinha, Nirahua Tangewaala, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Deewana etc will be released this year.

It was the beautiful locale for the location shooting of Chalani Ke Chaalal Dulha at Sivasa and the scene was a dancer girl kissing Pravesh Lal Yadav, hero of the film, and younger brother of Dinesh Lal Yaav Nirahua. Whenver the girl tried to kiss him Pravesh Lal was covering his cheeks. After many attempts Director Ajay Sinha and Choreographer Kanu Mukherjee got worried to know the reason.The reason was very ordinary. Pravesh Lal was becoming shy giving the scene in front of his elder brother Nirahua. Nirahua was then requested to leave the scene and only then the shot became okay.

Dinesh Lal said that Pravesh is well trained in acting and other film skills and he knows that the actor has to perform as per the dictats of the director who may demand a scene as per the story. Even then everyone gets nervous in the beginning. Nirahua recalled his own early days when he had to kiss Arti Patel in Kasam Dharti Maiya Ki in front of Ajay Sinha, whom he regards as his elder brother, and when the kissing scene in Nirahua Rickshawala changed the course of the film. He had kissed Pakhi Hegde in the film.

Director Ajay Sinha though was understanding. He explained that the hero of the film is a shy novice in the start of the film and later on becomes a total star. He also told the film will be releasing shortly.

KALPANA is a born singer. But Fate conspires to block the flowering of her talent at every turn. She is forced to support her mother and father (an alcoholic) and a younger sister by working as a receptionist in a Five Star Hotel. She is very attractive and therefore has to put up with a fair amount of attention from clients, often of a sexual nature. But her only passion in life is music.

Her father orders her to desist from singing because he believes that “singing in public is only for courtesans”. Inadvertently her rare talent is discovered at a party where she goes to hear ALKA SHIRODKAR, a famous GHAZAL singer. Since the great singer is out of sorts and KALPANA is asked to sing in her stead. KALPANA’S voice sends the audience into raptures. People ignore ALKA SHIRODKAR who leaves the party in a huff. She is humiliated and vows to get even with KALPANA.

KUMAR, the scion of a very rich family is infatuated with KALPANA at first sight and, after wooing her assiduously for a month, proposes to her. KALPANA tells KUMAR about her middle-class background, her passion for singing. But KUMAR loves her to distraction and wants to marry her at all cost. KALPANA’S father and all her friends also insist that she marry KUMAR.

But KUMAR turns out to be a jealous, egotistical, domineering husband. His family, one of the richest in MUMBAI, turns hostile to KALPANA. She is asked to stop singing. KALPANA feels stifled. She cannot live without music. She gives way to depression and inertia. But then something happens to jolt her out of her lassitude. ALKA SHIRODKAR is dying. She has cancer of the esophagus. She sends for KALPANA. Her last exhortation to KALPANA is: “Your talent is a gift from God! Don’t let anyone stifle it. Fight! Win! I am dying. I can no longer sing. But I have a contract to fulfill. Take my place. You are greater than me!” KALPANA is deeply moved.

KALPANA rebels against those who have been stifling her talent. Her father disowns her. Her husband throws her out of the house. Society spits on her. She is left destitute and homeless. To make things worse, she is expecting her first child. She is goaded on to untiring effort by the advice of her GURUJI who tells her: “When you give up your dream, you die!” And so KALPANA decided to fight against all odds. She works untiringly. She takes the city by storm. Her name becomes a household word. She is much in demand and soon acquires a flat, a car, money, fame and power. It is during the last concert that her water bag bursts. She has to be taken to hospital where, in the early hours of the morning, she gives birth to a baby girl.

There are flowers and bouquets. People throng to wish her well and congratulate her.

Among those who come are the people who have disowned her – KUMAR, his parents, and her own father. They have come to take her home. But does she have any need for them now?
